Blueberry Buckle | Smith Bites

by Rustic Garden Bistro on August 15, 2010

A good hearty breakfast, to cure the cold. :-)

I turn into a whiny !@#$ when I get sick.

Somehow, I’m also more productive. Between sniffling and sneezing on Saturday, I made a pot of chicken stock (and saved the fat for a batch of flaxseed dog biscuits), harvested and roasted about 5 lbs. of garden tomatoes, made a batch of tomato soup, roasted chicken thighs and whipped up some chicken and rice soup for dinner.

And this morning, in between cleaning house and meeting a friend for an 11 AM wine tasting in the the canyon, I made Debra’s Blueberry Buckle for breakfast. Delicious with a latte, courtesy of my one-and-only.

Whoops – I have 5 minutes to get out of the house.

Happy Sunday!

I made her buckle too! It’s on my last post…that’s too funny! I hope you are feeling better. Maybe the wine tasting cured what was ailing you! ;)

Buckle! It’s such a good name how can it not be good? Despite the illness this looks like a home run. GREG
