I turn into a whiny !@#$ when I get sick.
Somehow, I’m also more productive. Between sniffling and sneezing on Saturday, I made a pot of chicken stock (and saved the fat for a batch of flaxseed dog biscuits), harvested and roasted about 5 lbs. of garden tomatoes, made a batch of tomato soup, roasted chicken thighs and whipped up some chicken and rice soup for dinner.
And this morning, in between cleaning house and meeting a friend for an 11 AM wine tasting in the the canyon, I made Debra’s Blueberry Buckle for breakfast. Delicious with a latte, courtesy of my one-and-only.
Whoops – I have 5 minutes to get out of the house.
Happy Sunday!

I made her buckle too! It’s on my last post…that’s too funny! I hope you are feeling better. Maybe the wine tasting cured what was ailing you!
I’m thrilled you made this and hope that it made you smile and feel better, even for a moment! You’ve had a busy weekend albeit productive! Here’s to healthier days and more wine!!
Buckle! It’s such a good name how can it not be good? Despite the illness this looks like a home run. GREG
Keep hearing about this everywhere, it must be a great dish.
