Shrimp Etouffee | Bridging the Gap

Today's RGB photo: a mid-winter daylily from the garden.

Hello, friends! Today we’re changin’ it up and doing a guest post for Gwen over at Bunkycooks. Head over there to see what we made with our winter garden pepper this week…

A ripe garden bell pepper... perfect for dinner.

And because we’re still giving stuff away, make sure you leave a comment (at Bunkycooks) for your chance at a box of herbs.

Happy day!

  1. Now you’ve posted a dish I would love to try preparing, but never have…you must have quite the abundant garden!

  2. I was just at BunkyCooks! You’re spreading more love, lemon, and herbs :) I spent the afternoon in Old Towne Orange doing a little eating and antiquing and came across a Times Picayune Creole Cookbook from waaay back in the day and it got me craving some gumbo, jambalaya, or your mouth-watering etoufee!

  3. No winter gardening here in Colorado for me. Etouffee is one of my favorites – going to hop over and peep it out.

  4. Kim – always so generous with your garden! Such a great comfort dish. I can’t wait to make it!

  5. We managed to use all of our Meyers by preserving the rest of them, but we definitely had some fun with the fresh ones too!

Your generosity is astounding–first Meyer lemons, and now dried herbs? You guys rock so much!

  6. Wow, your photos just get better and better!!! Did someone say etouffee??? I think I’d better hop on over to Bunkycooks and read all about it!!

  7. I’ll make you a deal, how about we trade some sweet and savory? The etouffee looks great!

  8. Jeff and I loved this dish when you made it for us last month. So delicious! Thank you again for such a wonderful evening.
