We are hosting the Food Bloggers Los Angeles (FBLA) Monthly Meeting at the RGB on Saturday, April 6th, 2013. The start time is 10:00 AM.
In addition to the regularly scheduled program (bring an egg dish for the potluck), we’ll also be hosting a representative from Davidson’s Safest Choice Eggs. Chantel will be doing a demonstration on pasteurized eggs as well as sending us home with a few goodies.
Bring your kids; I’ll also be giving a tour of the chickens in their garden. Their eggs will also be raffled off to a few guests.

“The hard swing, superb scats and amazing phrasing on this first track should tell you what this lady is all about. Laura is a singer with complete command over her voice, a master of scats and improvisations. This is how a Jazz singer should sound like…” – Wibert Sostre, Jazz Times
2010 Grammy winner Bill Cunliffe said that Laura Harrison’s, “lyric sense is very distinctive, a little ‘beat poetish’ and a little ‘confessional.’ Her music is very melodic and harmonically interesting. She sounds great. I’m a fan.” “I enjoyed Laura Harrison’s album immensely.”
Retired entertainment editor Elson Irwin said, “I was around when the great scat singers such as Sarah Vaughan and Ella Fitzgerald were still entertaining the public. Artists such as Frances Faye, Anita O’Day, and Billie Holiday took a song and made it their own. Their voices, like Laura’s on this album, were not just voices, but musical instruments.”
