Family | Blogroll

Family. We’ve become acquainted with some wonderful bloggers on this journey. Scroll down to visit them, and tell them we said hello!

Sarah | A Beach Home Companion

Hailing from Huntington Beach, California, Sarah is an RGB neighbor. She posted some beautiful photos of her trip to Paris in Spring of 2010 that made us drool… and long for our own sweet memories of our trip to the City in Spring of 2009. We also love her affinity for burrata.

Robin | A Chow Life

Robin gives us daily doses from the Pacific Northwest. We really love her writing style, her photography skills (and her husband’s), and her recipes. Someday, we’re gonna try all of them; they’re that good. In the meantime, we’ll stick with her chicken kebabs, which is now on heavy rotation at the RGB.

Gwen | Bunky Cooks

Gwen’s a real sweetheart. It was the launch of the Food Blog Forum that united us, and we’ve been chummy since. We had the pleasure of meeting Gwen and Mr. Bunkycooks at Camp Blogaway in Spring of 2010. They were gracious enough to try one (or two) of Mr. RGBistro’s bottles of hobby wine… and nobody died. Woo-hoo!

Mac | Dishin’ in the Kitchen

Mac is such a beautiful person. We were so giddy to finally meet her at Camp Blogaway in Spring of 2010. Since then, we’ve gone on to chat about all sorts of things… Mac was so kind to even document one of our discussions about our dreams for the RGB in Summer of 2010. What a great interview; thanks, Mac!

Erika | In Erika’s Kitchen

Erika is a Los Angeles neighbor. The ever gracious and generous hostess, she invited us into her home in Summer of 2010 to participate in her Second Annual Trufflepalooza. And my, oh my, her truffle party was amazing. We’ve loved getting to know Erika, and hope we keep seeing more of her soon!

Rachel | La Fuji Mama

La Fuji Mama, Squirrel and Bug are ever-so-entertaining to follow. Rachel is also an RGB neighbor. From Corona, California, she dishes out some mouth-watering dishes with a bit of an eastern flare. We love this globe-trotting family, and live vicariously through her as she goes from Japan to New York and back again.

Elizabeth | The Manhattan Food Project

We really wish Elizabeth lived closer, because we always want she’s serving. One of these days, when the RGB takes the cross-country tour, we’re stopping in to see her. In the meantime, we’ll have to live with her posts on sardines, ceviche and mussels. Yum.

Merry-Jennifer | Merry Gourmet

MJ is a fine example of someone who can blog, work a real job AND have time for family. We don’t know where she gets her energy, but it’s contagious. We really enjoy following her along and seeing what she dishes up for her loved ones. Her tip to the RGB: queue up your posts ahead of time and spread ‘em throughout the week. We’re trying. Thanks, MJ!

Jamie | My Baking Addiction

Jamie is a true champion of the blogging community. Always the first to give a shout-out, lend a hand or offer advice, we can’t get enough of this sweet spirit. We’re suckers for her confections and aren’t afraid to say so. When the Bistro actually opens, we’re reserving a table for Jamie. And a basket of garden-grown Meyer lemons.

Liam | My So Called Knife

It’s always a pleasure reading what Liam has to say. We also love the fact that he’s not shy about sending mid-post shout-outs to Mrs. MSCK. An avid reader, Liam is always discussing good reads… we think he should start a book club. Liam also makes his own cheese and maintains a mean garden. Brutha, we salute you.

Dorothy | Shockingly Delicious

We’re proud members of the “We’ve Bunked with Dorothy” club. After having had the pleasure to meet her at Camp Blogaway in Spring of 2010, we’ve been fortunate enough to see her since. In her Malibu kitchen, Dorothy has successfully executed one our RGB-original recipes. It’s reassuring to know that we have at least one that works. Thx!

Debra | Smith Bites

There aren’t enough words to describe how much we love Debra (and The Professor). From their Indiana garden, they’ve actually grilled a pizza using ingredients the two of them harvested. If that ain’t “The RGB” at its best, I don’t know what is. We really wish we lived over the fence so we could join in with a bottle of wine.

Jaden | Steamy Kitchen

We consider Jaden a “big kid.” She’s published, so you wouldn’t think she’d actually have time to converse with us little kids. But… she does! As urban planners ourselves, we’re uber excited about her Lakewood Ranch smart garden plans and can’t wait to see how successful it becomes. With Todd and Diane, she and Scott operate the Food Blog Forum.

Jeff and Colleen | The Taste Place

Jeff and Kim go way back to pre-Mrs. TTP and Mr. RGBistro days. And it was after guest-posting for these lovelies that we caught the blogging bug. Head over there to see the earliest of RGB recipes. Need to kick it up a notch? Fixin’ for camp food? A good grill recipe? Instructions on smoking salmon? You’ll find it all from these Fullerton Foodies (‘tho I think they actually live in Placentia, California).

Andrea | Viet World Kitchen

Another big kid, because she’s published and all that, but Andrea is still accessible to the little people. And so is her first cookbook, which I keep as a go-to on my shelf on those days I can’t reach my mother for a Vietnamese recipe tip. Andrea once asked me if I had a Twitter account, so she could RT my pho post. When I finally set one up, I followed her first. Look no further for some truly wonderful (and authentic) Vietnamese recipes!

Todd and Diane | White on Rice Couple

We’ve been stalking this Los Angeles-based couple since before we were blogging. How could we not when their site is home to some beautiful food photography?! With Jaden, they operate the Food Blog Forum. And like Rachel, they’re also globe-trotters. We have no idea where they find the time, but do enjoy following along. P.S. Our dog Britta is addicted to their dog biscuit recipe.
